Twenty years ago, I, Albert Boire, started a new company in the Calgary area, called On The Spot Renos. After years of owing and managing Home Centers, Home Building Business, etc. I decided to scale my life down a bit and enter the installation sector which was always my joy in life.
My main focus was to supply and install commercial doors, frames, and hardware which also included commercial washroom partitions and washroom accessories.
Throughout the years, the business grew to a level where I needed a team to join me in this exciting venture. That is where, Justin Maher and Nikk Pfaff came into the picture. I needed partners that are well educated in this field with strengths that I myself may be lacking a bit in.
Justin Maher came from Saskatchewan and was for many years buying homes that was in need of major renovations in which he took on and renovated them back to life and sold them to his growing clients. He brings the expertise of the installation field and has been with us for 3 years now and has extensive knowledge in both the product and installation.
Nikk Pfaff has been in the commercial hardware business for 20 years also, starting at a very young age. He worked for many commercial hardware distributors and his knowledge in the hardware is at an amazing level that I, myself, could never know all that he does know. He also has an amazing knowledge in the fabrication side which is an art that few people have.
With the team in place, we needed to find a way to give our customers better pricing with top notch hardware. That is where Canaries Imports Ltd. comes into play. We needed to source our own products with three main goals in mind.
1) Deliver a product that meets all the Canadian standards and codes.
2) Deliver a product that beats or matches in quality, durability and design.
3) Give our customers a better competitive price
Our focus is to supply to property managers, commercial/industrial contractors, companies, businesses, restaurants, health centers and the list goes on and on.
Canaries Imports Ltd. is only in the supply and delivery business. Our installation company (On The Spot Renos), is a separate identity and will buy from Canaries Imports Ltd; the same way that our friendly competitors do and at the same price level. We are not here to hurt anyone but to give everyone the same level of business we all deserve.
